
Neither one really fit their characters, and since Ganelon was my favorite, it irked me a little to have to hear something so far from what his character should’ve sounded like… aside from that, everything else by the narrator was executed flawlessly.

With all that said, I wasn’t a huge fan of the Jeff Harding’s narration of Clay and Ganelon. Clay Cooper, the main character is typically everyone’s favorite, but I absolutely love Ganelon! The magic is given to us through enchanted weapons, instruments, bags and whatnot, and there are some very funny moments with a few of these enchanted items. This is a novel based on a band of mercenaries, that are treated like rock stars while also intertwining 70’s rock culture to the characters and the plot creating a world unlike any other! The plot, while not very complex, is an absolutely fun quest filled with many dangerous monsters, beasts and flying ships.
